Most of Great Britain's major rail operators are back in public hands โ€“ is it working?

๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿ’จ so like, i was thinking about this article on uk rail services and it's crazy how some operators are killing it with punctuality while others are really struggling ๐Ÿคฏ like scotrail is doing 2,100 services a day and they're making huge strides in improving their reliability ๐Ÿ“ˆ but meanwhile, other operators are still stuck in the dark ages โฐ and i think that's because of funding and infrastructure issues ๐Ÿค‘ it's all about the money and how much you're willing to invest in your network ๐Ÿ’ธ did you know that the average delay per passenger journey in the uk is over 20 minutes ๐Ÿšซ? that's just not acceptable ๐Ÿ˜•

๐Ÿš‚ trains r like my bae ๐Ÿ’•, i mean, they're always moving at their own pace but u gotta love 'em when dey r on time ๐Ÿคฉ. so its cool to see scotrail makin moves & improvin deir punctuality game - 2100 services daily? that's a lotta trains! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ what i wonder tho is wot other operators can do to catch up? like, is it just about investin in new tech or is there more 2 it? ๐Ÿค” idk but one thing's for sho, rail travel's defo the way 2 go - no traffic jams or pollution 4 me! ๐Ÿšฎ๐Ÿ’จ

ugh i feel u ๐Ÿ˜” so many ppl struggling 2 get reliable train services can be super stressful esp during peak hours or when u have a tight deadline ๐Ÿ•’๏ธ ๐Ÿš‚ it's awesome that scotrail is doing better tho they're really making an effort 2 improve things ๐Ÿ™ but what about the others? like, whats goin on? ๐Ÿ˜ณ gotta feel for the passengers who r stuck waitin 4 trains dat r runnin late ๐Ÿšซ ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ anyway, i think its so important 2 invest in rail services & make them more reliable ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช

I'm kinda surprised they're still struggling with punctuality rates ๐Ÿค”. Like, come on, 2k services daily? That's a lot of opportunities to get it right, you know? And ScotRail is doing alright, I guess. But what about the others? It seems like some operators are just phoning it in โฐ. Maybe they need to step up their game or something. Anyway, trains are still way more efficient than driving, imo ๐Ÿš‚. We should all be using public transport more often. It's not that hard, people! Just plan ahead and use those fancy train apps ๐Ÿ˜’.

You know, this whole thing about the state of rail services in the UK is a classic case of the "market fails" theory ๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿค”. On one hand, you've got operators like ScotRail who are doing their best to deliver good punctuality rates and customer service. But on the other hand, you've got others struggling to keep up, which just goes to show that even with competition, things can still go awry.

It's almost like we're seeing a classic example of "crony capitalism" at play here ๐Ÿ˜’. You've got these major operators who are basically getting a free pass because they're part of the existing infrastructure. Meanwhile, smaller operators are having a hard time competing, which is just unfair to them.

And let's not forget about the bigger picture โ€“ we need more investment in our rail network to make it reliable and efficient ๐Ÿค‘. We can't keep relying on private companies to do this for us; we need some government-backed initiatives to get things moving again!

๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿ˜ I feel bad for the other rail operators struggling to meet their targets... they must be getting really stressed out trying to keep up with all those trains ๐Ÿš€. It's like, you can't expect everyone to be perfect 24/7, right? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ But at the same time, I get why people want better services - it's just more convenient and whatnot... less traffic jams and all that ๐Ÿ˜Š. Maybe they should just learn from ScotRail and see how they're doing it? ๐Ÿค”
