US embassy angers Danish veterans by removing flags

omg u guyz this is gettin crazy US embassy in copenhagen just put up danish flags outside their building as a tribute to fallen danish soldiers and now its all over social media people r goin ham saying it was an insult 4 them cuz they dont even live there btw what even is the point of puttin those flags up if u aint gonna own up 2 it tho

I'm like totally bugged by this whole thing ... I mean, can you blame those Danes for feeling disrespected? Removing the flags after they'd already been up was just gonna stir up even more drama. It's not exactly clear who was behind the move to put them up in the first place, but it looks like a pretty big oversight on the embassy's part .

On the bright side, though, it's got people talking about cultural sensitivity and how important it is to be mindful of our actions when we're representing our countries abroad . So, even if it didn't quite go as planned, I think there's a silver lining here - maybe we can all learn something from this mix-up .
