Artificial intelligence will cost jobs, admits Liz Kendall

I'm getting a bit worried about all this AI talk 🤖... like how it's going to affect our jobs, you know? I've got friends who are already feeling the pinch with automation taking over their roles. And now they're talking about upskilling us? Like, what if we don't have the skills or the interest in learning new stuff? 📚😬

I'm all for innovation and progress, but we need to think this through carefully. I mean, what about people who aren't even tech-savvy? How are they going to compete with these super smart AI systems? It's like, can't we just have a plan in place to help those who are left behind? 🤔💸

And don't even get me started on the whole 'weapon of mass destruction' thing. Like, how do we even prevent that from happening if we're not careful? We need more than just a few programs and online courses to tackle this. 💡📊

🤖 AI is gonna change the game big time, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows 😒. I mean, we're hearing from our Tech Secretary Liz Kendall that some jobs are goners, but like, who's gonna create those new ones in the first place? 🤔 The government's trying to support women into entry-level tech roles, which is awesome 👏, but what about the rest of us? We need more than just a 'future of work unit' 🤝. I'm all for partnering with US-based AI companies, but don't we want to be creating our own tech hubs too? 🌍 We can't just rely on others to create jobs for us... we need to get in the game ourselves 💪. And what about those 10 million workers Labour's promising to upskill? That's a big ask, even if it is a good one 💼. Can we really make Britain the fastest adopter of AI by 2030? 🕰️ We'll see...

im thinkin, what's the real plan here? theyre tryin to upskill 10 million people, but is it enough? and whats about those jobs that are just gonna disappear? im not sayin we should be resistin ai or anythin', but its like, lets be realistic here... AI is changin fast, and we need a solid plan in place. i mean, london mayor was right on the money with that "weapon of mass destruction" thing... and what about the fact theyre partnerin with us companies? isnt that just gonna make things harder for british workers?

anywayz, gotta wonder whats the gov actually doin to help those who lose their jobs due to ai. is it just about throwin some cash at 'em or is there actual support bein given? we need somethin more than just a new program and some online training... that just dont cut it
