The Echo Chamber's Lonely Resonance The new film from Andrea Pallaoro, "The Echo Chamber," has all the makings of a dreamy, romantic reverie: a beautiful, high ceilinged London flat; a moody, smoky soundtrack; and two attractive leads, Luca Marinelli and Alicia Vikander, playing off each other in a tender, if tentative, love story.
Yet, despite its lovely trappings, the film ultimately feels like a missed opportunity to truly explore the complexities of love and attachment.
One of the most striking aspects of "The Echo Chamber" is its use of a single location – the London flat – as both the setting for the entire narrative and a metaphor for the characters' inner lives.
